The Worldwide Marriage Encounter Resource Library is an excellent website that is designed to answer all of your questions about how to organize a Marriage Encounter Weekend. The site is divided into five sections called Pillars: Community, Weekend, Structure, Team and General Resources. This site is protected by the U.S. copyright and international treaties; interested parties must agree to use the resources in accordance with how they were intended to be used. - Let's help each other.Thinkstock Images/Comstock/Getty Images
Before considering a Marriage Encounter Weekend with your partner, carefully read the official policy statement by United Marriage Encounter. As this is a Christian organization, only couples composed of one male and one female are welcome. The policy statement page includes UME bylaws and the mission statement of the organization. The policies about family members and widowed spouses who wish to participate are clearly defined. - Marriage Encounter Weekends are offered by various subdivisions of Christian faiths. The website Lutheran Marriage Encounter offers a series of links which cater to Catholics, Lutherans and other branches of Protestantism. While each branch of Christianity uses different interpretations and places emphasis on varying areas, they all adhere closely to the mission statement of the World Marriage Encounter.

Jewish Marriage Encounter Resources can be found at the website Jewish Marriage. The principles for what constitutes a married couple are the same, but the religious point of view is specifically geared toward Jewish values. It is not a religious weekend per se, but there is a spiritual undertone. This site clearly specifies who should and should not consider this sort of weekend.
