Heather was born on November 2, 1992 in Boulder, Colorado.

Family:
Heather's mother, Brenda, and her father, Robert, are both pharmaceutical scientists.
How Heather Began Skating:
Heather began skating in a learn to skate program at the local YMCA when she was eight years old.
She took lessons with her parents and soon became a better skater than her parents. She then attended a skating summer camp in Breckenridge, Colorado in 2001.
How Heather Became Serious About Figure Skating:
After going to skating summer camp, Heather began private lessons with Debbie Minter in September of 2001 in Westminster, Colorado. She started to ice dance with a partner in April 2006.
Coaches and Training:
Heather's coaches include Debbie Minter and Stefano Stangalini. Occasionally, she works with Jennifer Goolsbee. Bobbie Jaramillo works with her on style and presentation.
She is a member of the Rocky Mountain Figure Skating Club (RMFSC).
She skates four mornings a week before school for an hour a session, she also skates two after school sessions a week, she participates in physical education at school every other day, runs for stamina, and practices with the synchronized skating team on Saturday mornings.
Synchronized Skating Experience:
Heather has skated in a synchronized skating team since 2003 and is a member of La Furia Intermediate Synchro Team.

- Competitor in 2005 United States Synchronized Skating Nationals with La Furia Intermediate Synchro team
Education, Talents, and Hobbies:
Heather is an honor roll student. She likes math, art and Spanish language classes the best. She is her school's yearbook editor.
Heather loves reading, bike riding, Telemark sking and running. She is learning to kayak. She loves art and traveling overseas, especially to places where she can use Spanish. Heather also loves most sports.

Heather's favorite figure skaters include Kimmie Meissner, Evan Lysacek, and Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto.
Favorite Music to Skate to:
Heather enjoys skating to music from movie soundtracks.
