3 Easy Steps to Help You Reach Your Goals

Most of us at some time in our lives felt drained, unable to move outside of well-established patterns, not because we enjoy being idle, but because the energy and motivation that would drive us to set and reach our goals has been lacking...
It doesn't have to be this way, just following a few simple and easy to follow tips can help you to turn the situation around and take control of your life...
One: Take one step at a time.
There's nothing more likely to cause a slide back into a slump than setting grand and distant goals you have no hope of reaching.
Setting small, attainable targets will do far more good in the long run, as you begin to see what you're capable of when you apply yourself and that you can continue to apply yourself in the future and finally reach the same ends, by a less direct route.
Two: Consider what it is you really want.
If you're not happy with how things are in your life then you are the only one that can change them.
Think about ways to improve the situation, whether it be finding a partner, making new friends or getting that promotion at work.
Three: Don't allow the pursuit of your goals to hamper your life in the present! I cannot stress this enough! Getting what you want doesn't have to involve deprivation and neglect of the things you enjoy and in fact this is likely to be the ruin of your efforts; If you can't be happy without something DON'T give it up.
Its just stacking the deck against you being able to maintain your new way of living for any length of time.
The steps are simple, yes but by setting goals you can reach, and gain satisfaction from reaching you will have the incentive to continue towards the bigger, more long term projects.
Remind yourself just why you are doing the things you are doing and why its worth your effort.
Finally make sure whatever you do is sustainable, don't assume that being able to use your leisure time for worthwhile projects is something you can maintain indefinitely.
