How to Remove Mildew and Rust Stains From Clothes
- 1). Cut a fresh lemon into several slices.
- 2). Rub a lemon slice directly onto the stains, squeezing to put as much juice as possible on the stains.
- 3). Place the clothing in direct sunlight and let it dry.
- 4). Wash as usual.
- 5). Check to make sure the stain is completely gone before putting the garment in the dryer. The heat of drying will set the stain and make it harder to remove. If the stain is not gone, repeat Steps 1 through 3 as necessary.
