Black and Decker"s SpaceMaker Toaster Oven Details
Take a look at the Black and Decker SpaceMaker Toaster Ovens.
These toaster ovens are mounted underneath the bottom of the kitchen cabinet.
If you have a small kitchen without much counter space, but still would like to have a toaster oven, then one of these is what you need to get.
It has the mounting hood which is the piece that is actually fastened to the cabinet.
3 different lengths of screws and washers, and spacers (if the cabinet bottom isn't flat with the front of the cabinet) are all included.
Tape and a drill with a ΒΌ inch drill bit, and maybe a screw driver is all that you will need to have to complete the job.
There is a mounting template that will be used for placements of the holes.
The electrical cord has a grounded plug that will require using a 3 prong grounded outlet.
A grounded plug has 3 prongs, the 2 regular and the third is round.
If an extension cord is used, it will need to be a grounded cord and also have an electrical rating at least as great as the rating of the toaster oven.
There is also what they call a Save-A-Plug outlet built into it.
This outlet is meant to only be used for other SpaceMaker appliances.
The Black and Decker SpaceMaker Toaster Oven has either dial knobs or digital programming.
Both models have a Power ON indicator light.
The digital model has Start and Cancel buttons.
When the timer is set the oven starts and stops when the time is done or if the timer is manually turned off for the other model.
Increase and decrease buttons change time and temperature on the digital model but is simply done by turning a dial on the other model.
Bake, Keep Warm, and Toast are the functions.
A maximum of 30 minutes is on the timer and when the time runs out, a bell sounds.
The inside height is less than the counter top models.
A lid will not fit on top of the bakeware in the oven.
Simply cover it with foil if the food needs to be covered.
Just be sure everything is at least 1 inch from the top heating element.
A baking pan is not included with these ovens, but most 8 inch baking pans will fit.
