- 1). Unplug and pull the dryer away from the wall.
- 2). Unscrew the screws on the bottom lip of the front of the dryer. Pulling from the bottom of the front of the dryer, remove the front panel from the attachment clips.
- 3). Unscrew the screws inside the dryer that secure the top of the dryer. Raise the top up.
- 4). Locate the thermal fuse underneath the heating element. Remove the wires to the thermal fuse by pulling off the slip-on wire connectors with needle-nose pliers.
- 5). Remove the blown thermal fuse. Replace it with a new one. Reattach the wires.
- 6). Reassemble your dryer and plug it in. Turn your dryer on to make sure it is functioning properly.
