How to Make a Victorian-Style Paper Christmas Tree Garland

- 1). Cut strips of paper, all of the same size. The paper could be colored construction paper, newspaper, magazine pages, Christmas wrapping paper, ribbon or decorative paper.
- 2). Match one end of a paper strip to the other end, creating a loop. Use glue or tape to attach the two ends.
- 3). Pull a second paper strip through the loop of the first one. Match the ends of the second paper strip and glue together, forming a second loop--two links of a chain.
- 4). Continue with this process until the chain is long enough to wrap around the tree several times, from top to bottom.
