Sci-tech information: Israeli technology exports to China: Strauss water purification
This year is the 21st year since China and Israel has established their diplomatic relations. Groundbreaking changes have undertaken in these two countries in trade, energy, and culture within the two decades. In 2012 alone, their bilateral value of trade reached 10 billion dollars, increasing approximately 200 times than that of 20 years ago, with closer mutual communication in culture as well.
Recently, the 2011 Nobel Prize in chemistry, Israeli scientist Dan Shechtman met with over 200 members from colleges and universities in Beijing. He has interacted with students focusing on topics on €science, entrepreneurship, education and revolution€ which became the second senior interaction between two countries after the renowned brand Strauss Water Purification settling in China two years ago.
In 2010, the second largest food and beverage enterprise Strauss entered China with its state-of-the-art water purification technology MAZE and the most modernized concept of drinking. Strauss water purification together with Israeli cutting-edge researchers spent four years in developing the MAZE technology, which effectively got rid of bacteria and impurities without eliminating useful minerals. This groundbreaking achievement not only authorized by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and National Scientific Funding Technology, but also received more than ten patents and authorized certification from U.S. water quality association. The technology is titled €the world's most advanced water purification technology€.
Besides, Strauss purification was the first who combined the MAZE technology with Chinese habits of drinking, allowing Chinese customers to enjoy the most advanced water purification technology. Previously, Chinese customers often failed to buy and enjoy new products with other countries. Now, as a main partner of Israeli trading business, Chinese people finally get the chance to experience such privilege.
For Israel, which lies near the edge of desert with barren soil and limited resources, the country has been sticking to the policy to develop itself into a scientific power. This is a definite incentive to the rapid development of its high technology, especially in water-related field. Its achievements become the focus of the world. With the development and the strengthening of its water industry, its domestic market with less than 8 million people has reached its saturation. Friendly relationship with China makes a great opportunity for its national enterprises. Global water contamination incidents emerge in endlessly which also provides big room for developing.
Strauss's entering in China undoubtedly turned over a new page for national water purification industry, making people highly anticipate the next two-decade of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
