The Case Logic silicone iPod touch case two pack offers just about everything you’d want out of an iPod touch case: solid protection, grippable material, access to all key ports and buttons. If only it protected the screen, we’d have a 5-star review.
The basics of the case aren’t unusual: it’s a thin, rubbery silicone sleeve that you slip the iPod touch into and out of very easily. It improves grippability of the iPod, which can sometimes be slippery thanks to its small size and round edges. It doesn’t add weight or bulk to the device. It allows access to the dock connector and headphone jack through an opening in the case. While the case covers the hold and volume buttons, they’re easy to use through the case.
As noted, my only complaint is that the case offers no screen protection – a key element for the touchscreen iPod touch. This can be addressed by using screen protectors, of course, but it would be nice if more case manufacturers included screen protectors in their offerings.
That the package offers two cases – one plain, one with an abstract design – is a major bonus. Many iPod touch cases cost $20, so to get two for that price is a good deal. The two cases don’t differ except for in color and styling, but having options is good.
For day-to-day use, the Case Logic silicone iPod touch case is a great option. Add a screen protector to it and you’ve got a way to keep your iPod from getting scratched, dented, or dinged – all for a good price.
