How to Advertise for a Revival

  • 1). Choose a theme for the revival. A theme will keep all of the elements together and give you a direction for your advertising. For example, if your revival is in the fall, you could use a harvest theme. If the Bible passages at the revival all center around a subject or lesson, use that as a theme.

  • 2). Think about your target audience. Knowing who you're targeting will help you design advertising that will appeal to them and draw them to the revival.

  • 3). Give vital information in advertisements. A guide for what information you should include is the five W's: who, what when, where and why. Answering these questions in your advertising will ensure that you cover the basic information.

  • 4). Print more advertisements than you think you need. This will prevent you from running out.

  • 5). Give advertisements to church members to hand out to friends and family. Word-of-mouth is a powerful tool, so using church members can help increase attendance at the revival.
