How to Make Blindfolds for a Party

    • 1). Choose a fabric that matches your party theme. Look for a durable piece that is not see-through. Felt, flannel and even a piece of fake fur can work. If you go with fake fur, you'll need to line the inside with soft material to make it comfortable.

    • 2). Draw a blindfold shape, about 3 to 4 inches wide, on a piece of paper. Make an indentation in the pattern for the nose and make the eye portions long enough to drop down over the cheek bones.

    • 3). Cut out the pattern and hold it up to your face to make sure it completely blocks your vision. If it doesn't, adjust it until it's the right size.

    • 4). Trace the blindfold pattern onto your fabric and cut it out. Sew a whipstitch around the outside edge. If you need a double layer, make two fabric patterns and place them on top of each other, then stitch around the outside.

    • 5). Attach 10-inch ribbon ties to the blindfold. Sew 1 inch on the end of each ribbon to either side of the blindfold, so it will be secure when it's tied.

    • 6). Embellish the blindfold with glitter, sequins, googly eyes or felt shapes attached with glue.
