How to Cook Biscuits

âEUR¢ 4 to 6 tbsp. chilled shortening or butter
âEUR¢ 3/4 cup milk
Making the Dough for Biscuit
Preheat the oven at the temperature of 450 degrees. This is really important simply because it gives some time for the oven to get hot whilst you're preparing the biscuit dough.
When the oven starts off preheating, sift together flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl of medium size. Sifting these components together produces air into them and will help to take out clumps. When the flour is way too compressed, your biscuits can become dense as opposed to light and airy.
It is now your choice to determine whether you intend to use either butter or shortening. The real difference between the two is always that biscuits made from shortening are fluffier not like biscuits made from butter are crispier. Try both then pick your favourite!
