How to Remove Cellulite With Dry Brushing
- 1). Choose the right brush. Select a brush with natural bristles --- it must be soft. A loofah or coarse towel also will do the trick. You can find body brushes at skin care, beauty or bath stores. Make sure you can hold the brush in your hand and brush your whole body comfortably.
- 2). Brush the dry skin. This technique requires that your skin be thoroughly dry. Dead skin cells are more difficult to remove from wet skin. A good time to dry brush would be before a shower or bath.
- 3). Work upward or downward. You should brush your entire body, not just the area affected with cellulite. Start with your feet, brushing in a circular motion, working your way up to your neck and chest. Or brush from your neck to the bottom of your feet. Just be sure to brush the entire body as this helps stimulate circulation. Brush vigorously but not so hard that it hurts.
- 4). Brush daily. If you're trying to remove cellulite by dry brushing, it is important to brush your skin often. Brush the areas affected with cellulite twice daily to help decrease the appearance of cellulite. Brushing your entire body should take about 15 minutes. It may take a few months of daily brushing to see results.
- 5). Shower and moisturize. After you've dry brushed, wash away the dead skin; then moisturize your skin with oil or lotion to lock in softness.
