How to Install Decorative Covers for Recessed Light
- 1). Set a step-ladder up underneath the recessed light for which you want to change the decorative trim.
- 2). Grab the old trim, once up on the ladder, and pull the trim off of the recessed light. You may need to twist it back and forth slightly to aid in its removal.
- 3). Take your new decorative cover and insert it into the recessed light. Push it straight in to engage the springs. They will hold it in place.
