Nice Baskets for Gifts
- For a friend's birthday, craft a theme basket for a girls night out or a boys night out. For a woman, place decorative wine glasses in the basket, along with a bottle of wine. Add some fashion or gossip magazines and an array of makeup, such as eye shadow, lipstick and mascara, or a selection of nail polishes.
For a guy's basket, incorporate some beer mugs or pint glasses along with a favorite six-pack of beer. Add a sports- themed beer cozy and perhaps a Wiffle ball and bat set. For both gifts, include a CD of a party mix of music, or a movie to round out the gift. - A holiday gift can incorporate edible gifts, novelty items and even useful gifts that all interconnect for the occasion theme. For Christmas, include tree ornaments, candy canes, a nativity set or a Santa hat.
For Halloween, incorporate an array of Halloween candy, gourds, a novelty jack-o-lantern and a witch's hat.
For Valentine's Day, include chocolate-covered strawberries, a floral arrangement, a heart-shaped card and a toy cupid. Incorporate other humorous, meaningful and enjoyable items into the basket to cover all aspects of the holiday. - For a gift basket for an individual, couple or family planning a vacation, include items that can be both useful and helpful on the trip. This could involve maps of the place they are going to visit, tourist guide books, magazines, and gift certificates to local restaurants local in the destination area. Depending on the vacation location, the basket could even include beach apparel and beach towels, sunglasses, and products such as sun screen or body lotion. Add a new luggage tag to round out the gift.
- A gift basket for a sports enthusiast can use either a specific team or a specific sport as the basket theme. For a team-specific basket, such as the Boston Celtics basketball team, add a Celtics sports jersey, a foam finger, a beer cozy with the Celtics logo, a basketball and a pair of tickets to a game. For a basket centered around football, include a football, an NFL t-shirt or hat, and a beer mug adorned with football decals.
