- 1). Unscrew the clamp holding the fuel/oil line hose onto the base of the gas tank on the riding mower with the flathead screwdriver.
- 2). Pull the hose off and position the empty jug under the gas tank to catch all the gas/oil mixture for later re-use.
- 3). Unscrew the clamp holding the fuel/oil line hose onto the carburetor on the riding mower engine with the flathead screwdriver.
- 4). Pull the hose off.
- 5). Hold the fuel/oil line hose vertically. Point the carb cleaner spray can into the top of the hose. Spray the cleaner for 10 to 12 seconds. The cleaner should flow through the entire 12 to 15 inch hose in several seconds. If it takes longer or if the cleaner never comes out, then you will need to replace the fuel line with a new rubber hose the same length and diameter as the old clogged one.
- 6). Clamp the fuel/oil line hose back into place. Refill the gas tank.
