How to Make Homemade Newspaper Helmets
- 1). Lay out a piece of newspaper that is approximately 11 inches long and 9 inches wide.
- 2). Fold the newspaper vertically and horizontally. Take the top corners of the paper and fold them down to meet the bottom corners of the newspaper. Press down on the paper to create a horizontal fold in the middle. Fold the left side of the paper to meet the right side of the paper and press to create a vertical fold.
- 3). Open the last fold and lay the paper flat so you can see the vertical fold. Take the left corner of the paper and place the edge to the vertical crease in the center of the paper and press down. Follow with the right corner, taking it to meet the center crease. The top of the paper should now resemble a triangle.
- 4). Fold up the bottom piece of paper until it reaches the edge made from the two triangle folds and press down. Flip the paper over and do the same on the other side of the paper. Fold the bottom up to meet the edge and press down.
- 5). Decorate the newspaper as desired. Add decorations or stickers or a string on either side to keep the hat on your head.
- 6). Separate the two sides of the bottom of the paper and place the newly created hat on your head or offer it as a homemade gift to a friend.
