How to Take Both Flaxseed & Fish Oil Supplements

    • 1). Add 1 to 2 tbsp. of ground flaxseed to 8 oz. of juice or water. Mix the flaxseed into the juice by rapidly stirring it with a spoon. Drink the flaxseed juice in the morning, along with breakfast.

    • 2). Take a fish oil supplement by swallowing one capsule of fish oil along with water or another beverage. Take the fish oil supplement with lunch or a snack. The University of Wisconsin recommends taking fish oil only with food, never on an empty stomach, to help reduce the occurrence of gas, loose stools, and abdominal discomfort.

    • 3). Pour 8 to 10 oz. of water or juice into a cup. Add 1 to 2 tbsp. of ground flaxseed and stir with a spoon to mix. Drink the beverage along with dinner or shortly before bed.
