How to Uninstall Norton Antivirus 5.0

    • 1). Click the start menu at the bottom left of the screen. Look for the icon or title labeled "control panel" on the menu. Click on the icon or title to open the "control panel" window.

    • 2). Once the "control panel" window is open, look for the icon or title labeled "add or remove programs." Double click on the icon or title to open the "add or remove programs" window. Once the "add or remove programs" window is open, a list of currently installed programs will appear.

    • 3). Click on the scrolling bar that is located on the right side of the "add or remove programs" window and move it down until the "Norton Antivirus 5.0" title appears. Click on the "Norton Antivirus 5.0" title. Once the title is clicked on, it will then become highlighted. Double check to make sure that the "Norton Antivirus 5.0" is the title that is highlighted.

    • 4). When the area around the "Norton Antivirus 5.0" title is highlighted, a button will appear in the bottom right corner of the highlighted area and should be labeled "remove." Click on the "remove" button to start the process of uninstalling the Norton Antivirus 5.0.

    • 5). A confirmation window will then appear with dialogue and a "yes" and "no" button. This is to confirm that the Norton Antivirus 5.0 program is indeed the program that is to be removed or uninstalled. Click on the "yes" button to confirm that the Norton Antivirus 5.0 is the program to be uninstalled. Another smaller box will then appear to confirm that the Norton Antivirus 5.0 program has been removed", uninstalled or deleted.
