Resident Shield

• 1). Open AVG User Interface.
  
  
• 2). Double-click on the "Resident Shield" in the left pane.
  
  
• 3). Un-check the box next to "Resident Shield Active" and click "Save Changes."
  
  

E-mail Scanner

• 1). Open AVG User Interface.
  
  
• 2). Click "Tools" and "Advanced Settings."
  
  
• 3). Click "POP3 server," located under the E-mail Scanner - Servers - POP3 heading, and un-check the box next to "Activate this server and use it for receiving e-mails."
  
  
• 4). Click "SMTP server," located under the E-mail Scanner - Servers - SMTP heading, and un-check the box next to "Activate this server and use it for receiving e-mails."
  
  

AVG LinkScanner

• 1). Open AVG User Interface.
  
  
• 2). Double-click on "LinkScanner" in the left pane.
  
  
• 3). Un-check the box next to "Enable AVG Search-Shield and Enable Active Surf-Shield."
  
  
• 4). Click "Save Changes."
