- 1). Choose an overcast, mild day to clean the windows, and never clean plastic in direct sunlight.
- 2). Add 2 tbsp. of liquid dish detergent or a mild shampoo to 2 gallons of warm water in a bucket.
- 3). Dip a soft sponge in the bucket and squeeze the sponge over the window so sudsy water flows out of the sponge. Use a generous amount of the sudsy water on the plastic so that it loosens the pollen.
- 4). Wet the sponge again and gently wipe the window. If the pollen comes off easily, keep wiping. If it seems stuck, let it soak a while longer; however don't leave the soap on the window more than 15 minutes as it may harm the plastic.
- 5). Dump out the soapy water from the bucket when you have cleaned off the pollen. Refill the bucket with warm water and use a clean sponge to squeeze rinse water over the window. Rinse it well so there isn't any soap residue left on the plastic. Wipe the window dry with soft cloths or towels.
