How to Remove Mildew From the Dryer

    Bleach Method

    • 1). Mix 2 cups of bleach with 2 cups of water.

    • 2). Pour the solution into a spray bottle, and spray the solution over the mildew growth on the dryer. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

    • 3). Scrub the mildew off the dryer with a scrubbing brush.

    • 4). Wipe the area with paper towels to remove the residue.

    • 5). Soak a cloth in water, and rub it over the entire dryer surface. This removes any bleach residue that can damage your clothes.

    • 6). Dry the area with a clean cloth.

    White Vinegar

    • 1). Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar. White vinegar is a natural cleaning solution that can kill mildew spores.

    • 2). Spray the white vinegar directly over the mildew growth on the surface of the dryer. Let it sit for 10 minutes to give it time to kill the mildew spores.

    • 3). Scrub the mildew spores away with a scrubbing brush. Apply more white vinegar as needed until the spores are completely gone.

    • 4). Wipe the area dry with a clean cloth.
