Can You Help Me Save My Marriage
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise: having a happy and healthy marriage takes work. And not just once in a blue moon type of work. To develop a strong and lasting relationship with your spouse, you need to put in effort every single day. This shouldn't be looked at as a chore. With anything that's important, you're going to have to put in time and energy to make it a success. Doing three simple activities help me save my marriage on a daily basis, and hopefully can help you save yours.
1. Listening without interrupting. When living with someone over a long period of time, it's quite common to stop showing as much appreciation and respect as you did in the beginning of the relationship. By allowing your significant other to speak his or her mind without cutting in to add your own views, you let them now that their opinions are important (even though you may not agree with them).
2. Unexpected kissing. When was the last time that you surprised your spouse with a kiss? Giving your partner a smooch when he isn't anticipating it will catch him off guard in a pleasant way. Far too often in relationships, the amount of kissing decreases over time. And it's a shame because the small act of a little kiss can instantly make your spouse feel wanted and attractive.
3. Reassuring touches. Living in such fast paced times, couples unknowingly start to touch each other less and less. One activity that I perform each day to help me save my marriage is to touch my spouse in a reassuring manner. It can be a full body hug, holding hands, or even just putting an arm around a shoulder.
With divorce rates being so high, you have to do take action daily to make a marriage work. Fortunately, these activities that I personally use to help me save my marriage are fun to do. Although they may seem simple, listening, kissing, and touching your partner each day can have profound effects in a relationship.
