How to Use the Auto or On Feature for Air Conditioners

- 1). Set your air conditioner's thermostat to "On." This will let the fan run even when you are not using the unit's cooling function. This setting allows air to circulate, but humidity will increase.
- 2). Set the thermostat to "Auto" when you want the fan to run only when your air conditioning is running.
- 3). Let the air conditioning run until you are comfortable. With the "Auto" setting, the air conditioning will turn off once the temperature is reached that you set on your thermostat. The fan will also turn off.
- 4). Set the air conditioning thermostat to "Off" if you do not want the fan or the air conditioning to run.
