How to Install a Detergent Dispenser in a KitchenAid Dishwasher

- 1). Turn off the power to your dishwasher in your service panel.
- 2). Open the dishwasher door, then remove the screws securing the inner door panel, around the perimeter of the inner door panel.
- 3). Lift the inner door panel, then remove the two or three wires, depending on model, from the dispenser.
- 4). Remove the mounting screws, then depress the tabs and pull the assembly through the front of the inner door panel.
- 5). Snap the new dispenser into position, then secure it to the inner door panel using the screws that you removed.
- 6). Connect the dispenser wires to the terminals on the new dispenser.
- 7). Lower the inner door panel, then replace the screws to secure it in place.
- 8). Close the dishwasher door, then restore power to the appliance.
