How You Can Practice Patience

The art of patience has to be learn and it is not an easy lesson to learn especially since we are living in a society where things are rushed and instant.
It seem like the day is over before we have completed half the things that were needed to be done.
However, patience is still needed in our society.
How do we practice patience? I believe the first thing is to realize that we cannot do everything in one day some things would have to be put off until another time.
There is a saying, never put off until tomorrow the things you can do today because tomorrow is not promised to us.
This is a true statement but only if we are lazy.
We cannot do everything in one day that we want done so it is necessary for some things to be put off.
If would have to put something off until another time we should not fret about it.
Instead be patient and the time for it to be done will come.
Another way to practice patience is to be silent.
Things may seem to be falling apart around us but if we do not know what to do or say then do nothing.
Rash decisions can make matters worst and in time of trouble the last thing we need is for it to get worst so silence can be our best friend.
We need to put things in perspective, do the things that are most important and do not worry about the others.
The whole point about getting things done is to know what to leave undone and by doing this we will learn patience.
Another thing that we can do to practice patience is to take some time off even when we seem pressed.
Sometime we have to force ourselves to focus on something else beside what is at hand.
This will refresh our mind and can give us a new perspective on the matter.
God is Almighty and can do any and everything that He want to do but He took six days to create the Earth.
What is that saying to us? It should be saying, take our time and be patient.
God could have done everything at once but He did not because He is an example for us.
He knew that we would need patience in order for things to work out right for us and He show us that by taking six days to create the Earth to get a beautiful garden.
In order for us to practice patience is to have an opportunity to do it.
Oh yes, that means a test and frankly, I do not know anyone who enjoy taking a test but I do know that a test is necessary for us to know if we have obtained patience.
Therefore, do not fear when our test come because it is only a test to make us better.
Bear in mind that we can pass or fail a test and if we fail, we will have to repeat it but if we pass it, we will be at a higher level and this is the place where we want to be.
This does not mean that we are complete because there will always be opportunities for us to show patience but at that higher level, it will be easier for us to be patience.
