The Best Way to Get Cat Urine Out of the Floor Boards

    • 1). Blot wet cat urine with paper towels. Dab the area gently to keep from pushing the urine any further into the flooring. Blot until the liquid stops transferring to the paper towels.

    • 2). Mix 3/4 cup of water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Pour into a spray bottle.

    • 3). Spray the affected area generously with the vinegar mixture. Scrub the floor boards with a damp rag.

    • 4). Rinse the area by wiping with a wet sponge. If the urine stain remains, spray again with the vinegar solution. Scrub the area and rinse. Continue using same procedure until the stain disappears.

    • 5). Sprinkle baking soda over the floor boards, and allow it to sit on the floor for 30 minutes. The baking soda absorbs any leftover smell. Wipe the baking soda from the floor boards with a damp rag and dry with a clean cloth.
