Green Bean Casserole
Green bean casserole is comfort food, which means you love it the way you grew up having it. This version is an attempt to improve on the original green bean casserole while trying to remain true to what you loved about it in the first place.So instead of canned cream of mushroom soup, we'll make a mushroom velouté sauce and use that as the base. And instead of those dried onions in the can, we'll caramelize some onions and spread them over the top of the casserole before we bake it. So it'll be pure traditional green bean casserole, but much better.
