The Right Colour Does Matter, Even on eBay

When I first heard people say to me are you using the right colours when you sell on eBay or online, and to be honest when I first heard this statement I thought they were being funny.
Then I started seeing other people talk about the right colours and the wrong colours to use.
Then there were whole courses on it.
It was then that I started to take notice of what these top trainers and top online guru's were talking about.
And having listened and putting into practice what I have been taught, I can tell you today, Yes it is true colours do matter, and more important they matter even more where you put these colours.
The colours, of the text, the background, headline and even the background to your pictures can make the difference of a sale or no sale.
Now if I am honest they are not going to make you a millionaire overnight but they can make a difference of between 10% - 12% (sometimes more) in sales and over a period of time this can be a lot of money.
And all it takes is a bit of time and a few mouse clicks.
Here are some of the main colours I and and few friends use and where I use them.
  • Background of main page - White
  • Headline - Blue
  • Sub-Headline - Red
  • Text - Black
  • Photograph Background - Bright Red or Bright Green
Never have white text on a black ground as this makes it very hard to see and read and will lower your readership and buyers almost overnight.
As with most things this is a massive market, to get your head around in a small article, but if you do a search on Google you will find many free resources that will help you find the right colours to use for your business.
