How to Connect a Stop Valve to PVC Pipe
- 1). Wipe off any dirt or dust on your PVC pipes with an old rag where the stop valve will be connected.
- 2). Put some cement on your stop valve in the side with the smaller diameter.
- 3). File the edge of your PVC pipe that you intend to connect above your stop valve until the pipe would fit comfortably around the valve. Place some cement around it.
- 4). Slide the valve onto the PVC pipe that you want to connect above the valve. The valve should fit around the pipe, not inside it.
- 5). Slide the lower PVC pipe around the valve. Allow the valve to go inside the pipe. This setup prevents water from spitting out.
