How to Crochet an Amigurumi Star
- 1). Chain two. Single crochet five in the second chain from the hook. Use a slip stitch to join the last stitch to the first stitch. Chain one. Single crochet two stitches in each stitch around. Chain one. Single crochet one, then work two single crochets in the next stitch and repeat around. Single crochet for two stitches, work two single crochets in the next stitch and repeat around. Repeat this last round a second time.
- 2). Chain one. Single crochet six. Chain one and single crochet across. Chain one. Single crochet two together, single crochet for two stitches, then single crochet two together. Chain one and single crochet across. Chain one, single crochet two together across. Chain one, single crochet two together. Fasten off. This makes one point of the star.
- 3). Attach your yarn at the base of the first point of your star. Single crochet five stitches. Single crochet two together, single crochet for two stitches, then single crochet two together. Chain one and single crochet across. Chain one, single crochet two together across. Chain one, single crochet two together. Fasten off. This makes the second point of the star.
- 4). Repeat Step 3 three more times for the rest of the points of the star. When you get to the last point of your star, instead of fastening off, single crochet around the entire star. This completes the top half of the star.
- 5). Repeat steps 1 though 4 for the bottom half of the star. Use your yarn needle to sew the two halves of the star together. Leave a small opening to stuff the star, then stitch up the remaining opening. Use your yarn needle and black yarn to embroider two eyes on your star.
