How to Play Chess in Sims
- 1). Purchase a chess table. Open the buy menu by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner that looks like a chair and lamp. Then select the hobbies section of the item catalog by clicking on the icon that looks like a chess piece. Here you will find the "King for a Day Outdoor Chess Table" for 399 Simoleans and the "Grand Parlour Chess Table" for 500 Simoleans. Select either one and place it on your lot.
- 2). Purchase a chair for the table. Open the comfort section of the item catalog, which looks like a chair. Next, select the dining chairs section. You can select any dining chair. You will need two chairs if you want two Sims to play against each other. Place a chair on either side of the table.
- 3). Select the Sim that you want to play chess and click on the chess table. You will then have the option to direct him to "Practice." Subsequent Sims can be directed to "Join."
