How to Make a Diaper Favor for a Baby Shower
- 1). Form a diaper into a ready-to-wear shape, and use the adhesive tabs to secure it on both sides. The diaper will serve as a container for candy and other goodies. If you need a form to help shape the diaper, wrap the diaper around a teddy bear or a doll, then slip it off the model. Form as many diapers as you will need for the favors. Write consecutive numbers inside each diaper, beginning with number 1. These numbers will be used later for door prizes.
- 2). Unfurl the pink and blue streamers. Cut into 2-foot lengths. Put several handfuls of each color into each diaper, just as you would fill an Easter basket with straw. The streamers will keep the candy from falling out of the leg holes and will help hold the flowers in place. Let some streamers cascade over the sides and poke out of the leg holes. Hide the numbers inside the diapers with the streamers so guests won't see them until you tell them to look.
- 3). Place jelly beans and cookies in plastic wrap, and tie the package with pink and blue ribbon. Place the packet, along with candy pacifiers, chocolate kisses and other goodies, in the diaper "basket."
- 4). Insert fresh flowers and baby's breath between the streamers and candy to create a bouquet.
- 5). Set a diaper favor in front of each place setting. Press down to flatten the bottom and steady the diaper on the table. Add some extra candy on the table, next to the leg holes and around the diaper. Sprinkle blue and pink confetti on the table as well.
