How to Cover Piercings
- 1). Cover your piercings with clothing. This will, of course, only work in areas that can be covered up with clothing. When covering up surface piercings or microdermals, make sure your clothing won't snag on them.
- 2). Place skin colored bandages over your piercings. Bandages come in a variety of sizes to suit your needs. You can easily use a tattoo cover instead of a bandage to cover up a surface piercing on your arms and legs.
- 3). Purchase a clear acrylic retainer to slip into the piercing hole to make it less noticeable. Buy a retainer in the same size as your body jewelry for the best fit.
- 4). Make a retainer using fishing line if you are unable to buy an acrylic one. This will work best for piercings in the nostril, where only one end needs a flat surface to rest against the skin. Burn one end of the fishing line so the fishing line will rest on your skin.
- 5). Use a skin colored marker to color over your regular jewelry. Only color the ball of the jewelry that is visible and not any other part.
