Get the advice you deserve with these personal quit smoking tips of mine.
I stopped smoking 8 years ago and you can too.
Find out more in this article.
There is a lot of "sham" advice on the internet about everything, including quitting smoking.
Get the real facts from an ex-smoker.
Prepare Your Mind To Quit You can't just quit smoking on a whim or on impulse.
You must prepare yourself adequately for what is coming up.
Don't use this as an excuse to delay your quitting attempt by 6 months but, equally, think it through and prepare ahead of time before you smoke your final cigarette and become free.
Do Your Research Like I said, there is a lot of sham advice and low quality information on the internet about smoking.
Just because it's in writing or a lot of people do it doesn't mean that it's correct.
For instance, did you know that the long term success rate for patches is only about 7%? Don't waste your money on useless methods! Tell Everyone You Know Tell everyone that you know that you will be quitting smoking.
Start with your closest friends and family and tell them over the phone or by email before you see them again.
And with everyone else, make sure that it comes up in conversation quickly.
This way you can get the moral support that you need from the people that matter.
It also means that you can shut people up before they pass negative comments about your quitting and try to give you bad advice.
Quit And Never Look Back Soon, you're going to quit and you'll become a non-smoker.
You'll be free and healthy once again.
Whatever you do, never look back.
Never try to think about when you used to be a smoker.
That person will not be you anymore.
That person will be someone that you won't know anymore and you won't be able to relate to.
The only way is forward.
