Stain Removal With Wd 40
- WD-40 has degreasing agents that break apart stains caused by ink and marker. Spray the area with a thick layer of WD-40 and blot the stain. Repeat as necessary until the entire stain has been removed and the blotting cloth comes up clear of ink or marker residue. Then launder as usual.
- The degreasing agent found in WD-40 also removes stains caused by grease. Blot away as much of the stain as possible with a cloth or paper towel. Then spray with a thick coating of WD-40, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Launder as usual in a cold water cycle, and let air dry (do not use heat, as this can set in the stain permanently). Repeat as needed until the stain has been removed entirely.
- WD-40 also effectively removes crayon marks from clothing, walls, and carpeting. Scrape away as much of the crayon as possible with a butter knife. Then spray a coating of WD-40 onto a cloth and wipe over the stain until all the crayon residue is removed. For fabrics, spray directly onto the stain and let sit for 20 minutes, then launder as usual in a cold water cycle.
