Revitalize Your Reproductive System With Yoga

Do you want to have babies but are unable to? It may be difficult to conceive, especially when your procreating years are waning. The late 20s or late 30s somehow bring on a decline in production of creative eggs. Which makes you want to rush to the nearest fertility specialist to ensure you can still have your baby while youre young enough to care for them.

A growing number of women opt for pregnancy only after their careers are set up, which takes up to the 30s. Which makes women, when theyve made that crucial decision, go into it full steam ahead and turn their whole lives upside down. Heretofore routines get overturned, new habits are established and old ones replaced, up to eating habits and exercise routines. Some women even turn out gym or exercise fanatics, going into a completely opposite direction from the trend of sedentary lifestyles and couch potatoes. There are times that the extremes would necessitate doctor's orders to "take it easy".

So how then can a woman prepare her body from a sedentary lifestyle to a healthy one for procreation? Many doctors are already exhorting their patients to go into yoga regularly. Among the numerous yoga postures and stances are those that are directly beneficial to the reproductive system. These poses serve to stimulate the pelvic and nearby areas and stimulate circulation. Moreover, regularly practicing Yoga enhances a general sense of rest.

The following are just some of those poses:

1. Bridge Pose. This posture stirs up the abdominal organs and if performed on a regular basis, can give you relief from menstrual pains and discomforts. Your brain gets stilled and your stress relieved. You start out lying on the floor. With bended knees, set your feet flat on the floor, keeping them as near as you can to your hip bones. Raise your buttocks to form a bridge and clasp your hands underneath.

2. Cobblers Pose. Customarily considered to be a natural cure for infertility, this pose also stirs up your abdominal organs and ovaries. This is done sitting on the floor with your knees bent and laid out towards the side.Putting your feet together, grasp your toes or ankles with your hands.

3. Lotus Pose. Similarly stirring up the pelvis, this pose also targets the spine, abdomen and bladder areas. Performing this posture for the whole duration of your pregnancy helps relieve you of the pains of childbirth. This is done sitting on the floor with legs crossed. Then put one foot atop your thigh with the other foot on top of the other thigh. If you find this difficult or painful, you can still perform it just sitting cross-legged. With your thumb and middle fingers together, put your hands on your knees.

4. Reclining Hero Pose. this pose calls for support (a bolster pillow will do) along the length of your back. This is the yoga stance that aids in the opening and stretching of the abdomen resulting in easing pains of menstruation. You first kneel then sit down between your feet while slowly stretching out to your full length on the floor. This pose is called an intermediate pose which calls for supplementary support of another pillow on your back pending the time when you are experienced enough.

Regular performance of these poses, like acupressure, fertility pelvic massage and reflexology facilitate circulation and oxygenation of the pelvis.

You can do these poses by yourself, at home, not necessarily assisted or guided by a professional. Dont forget that you must consult with your physician prior to embarking on a new exercise program. Equally important is this reminder not to consider and use Yoga as the sole treatment, doing away with medical opinion and medical cures.
