How to Wash 501 Jeans With Vinegar
- 1). Turn the Levis 501 jeans inside out.
- 2). Set the washing machine to a cold water, medium-size wash load. Fill the washing machine with water and add 1 cup of white vinegar.
- 3). Add the 501 jeans to the washing machine. Stop the washing machine after it fills with water and agitates the jeans for approximately one minute.
- 4). Allow the jeans to soak for approximately eight hours.
- 5). Turn the washing machine back on and allow the wash cycle to complete.
- 6). Place the jeans into the dryer and dry them for approximately 15 minutes so the jeans are somewhat dry, yet remain damp. Dry the jeans on a clothesline until they are completely dry. Not drying your jeans completely in the dryer will prolong their life.
