    • In traditional Chinese medicine, honeysuckle is used to treat ailments of the heart and lungs, fevers, sores and dysentery.

    Uses

    • Honeysuckle is used to ease sore joints, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, relieve depression and treat asthma; blue honeysuckle may fight parasites, bacteria and have ant carcinogenic properties.

    Warning

    • There are more than 180 types of honeysuckle, and many have poisonous properties. Honeysuckle contains saponins, which are foaming glucosides that may be toxic if consumed in excess.
