Hope and Victor
Hope is at home with her bags packed. She places Ciara’s picture which she drew at the hotel over the family photos. Victor comes over and remarks how nice it is to have Hope home again, then asks if Ciara’s there. Hope says she’s with Doug and Julie. He asks if she’s going somewhere. “Ciara and I are moving out of the house,” she demurs.
Victor admits to Hope that he’s always had tremendous admiration for her.
He knows she’s been through some very difficult times lately. She rehashes how her daughter was kidnapped and almost killed. Victor brings up Zack and how he also knows the pain of losing a child (Isabella). He asks if she’s sure she wants to leave the place where she has all the cherished memories of Zack, then encourages her to have a face to face goodbye with Bo. She insists that she has to do it this way, since she’s afraid she won’t be able to look Bo in the eye and still be able to leave.
Victor understands Hope’s fears of living alone with Ciara in a strange house and proposes an alternative. Hope thanks Victor for his offer to stay at the mansion, referring to it as sweet. He suggests that being in his home might afford her the time to rebuild things with Bo, referring to the two of them as soulmates. He professes to love his sons more than anything. “And since Isabella has passed, you’re the only daughter I have now,” he adds. Hope extends her hand to Victor and agrees to give it a try.
Arianna and Brady
Arianna is in her room with a box full of cash, telling someone on the phone not to pressure her about Brady. After she hangs up, she hears a noise and hides with her gun, not initially realizing that Brady is sneaking in. She drops her gun and hides it under the bed after she sees that it’s Brady. She frantically asks him not to climb up the house into the window ever again, then clings to him. He notes that she’s shaking and asks what’s wrong. Arianna worries about someone seeing Brady come in. He tries to assure her that it’s not the case, then says he brought the date to her since he can’t take her out on a proper date. She soon suggests that getting back together was a really bad idea.
Arianna insists that she couldn’t live with herself if something happened to him. Brady offers to go, then a conflicted Ari admits that she wants him to stay. He interrupts her with a kiss, then asks if she thinks it’s a bad idea. She responds by kissing him back.
Brady and Arianna enjoy their picnic in her room. He agrees not to come through her window in the middle of the night. She assures him that she’s glad he’s there, and they share a kiss. They stand up and smooch some more before Brady picks her up and places her on the bed.
Stefano’s Hospital Room
Stefano requests to see Theo, “Giovanni,” Sydney, and Nicole. Lexie isn’t sure the children will be able to come. Stefano asks E.J. to call Nicole and asks her to come. E.J. painfully reveals that while Stefano was out, Nicole perpetrated a horrible lie against the family. “So, what lie, and what did Nicole do?” asks Stefano. E.J. reveals that Nicole had a miscarriage, faked her pregnancy, and adopted a baby through Dr. Baker. Stefano acts surprised and wonders how it all came to light. E.J. doesn’t care to get into details, but Nicole admitted everything. Stefano asks what Elvis did once he found out. “What do you think I did? I kicked her to the bloody curb!” exclaims E.J. Stefano asks where little Sydney is now, and E.J. says she’s with her mother. “She’s with Sami?” asks an irriated Stefano. A perplexed Elvis wonders why Sydney would be with Samantha. Stefano claims he must’ve messed up the “interchangeable bleach blond liars” that E.J. has sired children with. Lexie assures her father that it’s natural for him to be confused right now, but it will pass. Stefano demands for E.J. to find Nicole and Sydney and bring them home where they belong.
E.J. refuses to fulfill Stefano’s request. Stefano wonders how his son can be so callous, allowing Nicole to take that little girl. “Have you no heart?” asks Stefano. “She broke my heart, Father,” retorts E.J. An upset Stefano begins to cough before E.J. states his refusal to let Sydney live in his house and continue the lie, affirming that Sydney’s not his daughter. “She is! She is your daughter, you fool!” insists Stefano.
E.J. insists that he loves Sydney as if she was his own, but she’s not his daughter. Lexie encourages her father not to get all worked up, but Stefano doesn’t listen and goes into cardiac arrests. Lexie yells for a crash cart.
Lexie is able to get Stefano’s heart rhythm stabilized. E.J. asks Lexie if their father will pull through, but Lexie doesn’t know. He doesn’t understand Stefano’s insistent behavior, since he knows Sydney is not a DiMera. Lexie states that Stefano loves Sydney and is very emotionally attached to her. E.J. notes that something doesn’t add up, then brings up how Stefano was having Nicole followed for a long time. “What if he knew about this?” wonders E.J. Lexie doesn’t believe Stefano would ever allow Nicole to pass of another child as E.J.’s.
E.J. sits with Stefano and encourages him to open his eyes, refusing to lose his father. He is delighted when Stefano awakens. Stefano requests to see Sydney. E.J. agrees to get her if it makes his father feel better. He brings up how Stefano was about to say something about Sydney earlier, but he didn’t finish. Stefano falls back asleep, and Lexie tells E.J. they need to let him rest. After E.J. leaves the room, Stefano opens his eyes again.
DiMera Mansion
Nicole sneaks inside with Sydney to get her passport. She is soon confronted by Kate, who chews her out for coming in unannounced and tells her to go. Nicole claims she came to get some papers she needs. Kate tells her to find them and leave, reminding her that it’s not her home anymore. She takes the keys from Nicole, who strolls into the living room and finds Sydney’s passport. Kate swipes it from her and wonders if Nicole will be leaving a forwarding address for her bills and hate mail. Nicole says no, and Kate continues to push her buttons.
