How to Make Elegant Bracelets
- 1). Wrap the tiger tail wire around your wrist to measure the length you need. Leave a little bit of room so the bracelet dangles freely. Then, add an additional 4 inches to this measurement, and cut the tiger tail wire using a pair of wire cutters.
- 2). String a crimp bead onto one end of the wire, then thread the wire through the loop on one piece of the toggle clasp.
- 3). Bend the wire around the toggle clasp loop and pull the end through the crimp bead. Pull the wire until the flush loop forms to secure the clasp. You will have a tail of wire coming out from the crimp bead.
- 4). Use the crimping tool to crimp the crimping bead flat. The tool will create a ridge in the center of the crimp bead. Then, crimp the bead again to create a rounded bead. The bead will bend on the center ridge the first crimp created and roll into a bead shape. Cut off excess tail of the wire using the wire cutter.
- 5). String the beads onto the wire. String a focal bead, then a crystal bead and another focal bead. Your focal beads should be delicate, smooth and free from odd shapes or textures for the most elegant look. Use crystal beads that are at least one size smaller in diameter than your focal beads. Continue to string the bracelet, leaving a 2-inch tail of wire on the opposite end.
- 6). Thread a crimp bead onto the wire, then thread the wire through the loop on the second piece of the toggle clasp. Bend the wire around the loop of the clasp and thread the wire through the crimp bead. Pull the wire until the crimp bead and clasp are flush with the beads. Crimp the crimp bead closed, and cut off any excess wire.
