Harvest Moon Cheats for Wii
- "Harvest Moon" has a number of endings that depend on a number of different conditions. It can be difficult to make sure you are on track to receive the ending you want to get. See the current ending you would receive through a cheat code. After writing in your diary, the screen will fade to black. Hold down the L+R+Start+Select buttons when this happens. The ending you would currently receive will play as long as you hold down all four buttons. This can be useful for seeing if you already fulfilled the ending requirements or are on track for the right ending. Keep in mind that the ending will be based on your current stats and achievements. Some endings might require events or items that have not yet appeared in the game. There is no guarantee the ending played will be your final one, but it is a good method to check your progress.
- You can have up to two children in "Harvest Moon." The gender of each child is normally determined at random during the birth. Cheat and switch the gender of the baby. If you want to change the gender, do not name the baby after your wife gives birth. Go outside and talk to anyone who you could normally find inside your house. It doesn't matter who it is or what he or she actually says. Return to your wife, and she will give birth to a child of the opposite gender. The actual gender of your children has no real impact on the game, but this is nice if you happen to have a particular preference.
- Players can gain easy money in a couple of instances. These are not actually cheats, but require completing tasks that have no obvious benefit. Keep an eye out for a rabbit when walking around the mountain area. If you see it, walk up to it and talk to it to catch it. A hunter will immediately appear out of nowhere and give you 1,000G to let it go. The second opportunity for easy money is by going to the livestock dealer during the second or third year and offering to sell a cow. The hawker will show up at your house and offer you "Magic Beans" for the cow. Accept the offer. Go to the mountain summit during the spring and plant the seeds. This will not work if you do not plant them in the right place or during any other season. A sprout should form. Walk out of sight of the sprout and return immediately. The sprout will be replaced by a giant beanstalk. You will receive a Golden Chicken. Tell it to work hard when you are prompted to receive the Golden Egg. You will immediately be given 10,000G for it from a trader. These two events alone give almost enough money to fully upgrade your house.
