How to Attach a Ruffler Foot to a Pfaff Sewing Machine
- 1). Remove the white thumb screw from the right side of the presser foot by turning it toward you. Slide the plastic spacer over the shank of the thumb screw, then replace the screw tightly.
- 2). Remove the small screw from the lower left of the presser foot with the screwdriver. The presser foot will then be free from the sewing machine. Remove the presser foot.
- 3). Thread the sewing machine now, as it is easier to thread the machine before attaching the ruffler foot.
- 4). Align the ruffler foot with the machine. The flat foot should be against the needle plate of the machine, and the lever to adjust the ruffle length should be toward you. Find the notched clip which slides over the presser foot shank, and align the inner end of the notch with the screw hole. Insert the ruffler foot knob into the screw hole and tighten until the ruffler foot does not wobble.
- 5). Ensure that all your screws and knobs are tightly in place and the foot is stable. Use the adjustment lever to select the size of ruffle you want to make. Place your strip of fabric beneath the foot, with its right edge between the two black guides, and lower the presser foot lever. You are now ready to sew a ruffle.
