How do I Clean a Maytag PER5510BAW Electric Stove?
- 1). Turn off the stove and allow it to cool.
- 2). Dampen a sponge with warm water and sprinkle it with powder cleanser. Wipe inside the oven frame, door frame and around the gasket. Don't wipe the gasket. Rinse the sponge in clean water and wipe it again to remove the cleanser.
- 3). Remove the oven racks and any other items in or around the stove. Close the oven door and make sure the light is off. Lock the oven door by sliding the lever to the right.
- 4). Press the "Clean" button. Use the up and down arrows to choose the cleaning time. For light soil, select two hours. For heavy soil, select four hours. The cleaning cycle will begin and the oven won't unlock until it's complete and cool. If smoke or odors accumulate during the cleaning, open a window to ventilate the area.
- 5). Dampen a cloth with water. Open the oven door and wipe out any ash that accumulated from the cleaning.
- 1). Fill the sink with hot water and 2 tsp. dish detergent.
- 2). Remove the control knobs, drip bowls, oven racks and any other removable parts. Place them in the sink to soak.
- 3). Dip a scrubbing sponge or cloth into the soapy water. Clean the cooktop, control panel, front and sides of the stove. Rinse the sponge or cloth with warm water and wipe the stove again to remove any soap residue. Dry everything with a towel.
- 4). Wash the removable oven parts with a scrubbing sponge and rinse them in clean water. Set them aside to air dry.
- 5). Spray a clean cloth with glass cleaner. Wipe the control panel, metal parts and glass window with the cloth.
- 6). Replace the control knobs, drip bowls, oven racks and any other removable parts.
