Digital TV Recorders - Putting YOU in Control of Your TV Viewing

Isn't technology wonderful? In the past we had to wrestle with VHS cassettes, recordings being poor quality and deteriorating over time.
Not to mention the amount of storage space they took up.
These days digital TV recorders have put an end to all of this.
The key feature of these devices is that they record your favorite TV shows onto a hard drive rather than a VHS cassette or indeed a DVD.
So this quickly puts an end to storage issues.
The amount of storage capacity varies enormously from one device to another but is generally more than enough for most people's requirements.
However, if you intend to record in HD quality then you will find that the amount of recording time available to you is substantially reduced as this takes up more memory.
Many digital TV recorders also have additional features available on subscription such as access to a vast video library and access to a music library.
Some allow you to connect your device to your home internet network you can schedule your recordings from wherever you are by using a PC or mobile device.
A common feature of digital TV recorders is the ability to pause, rewind and replay live television.
This feature brings to an end those annoying interruptions that mean you miss vital parts of what you are watching.
You know the kind of thing - your child comes downstairs to tell you they can't sleep just when what you are watching is reaching a key part.
You take you child back to bed and you find that the rest of the show makes no sense to you whatsoever because of what you have missed! Some devices also have a slow-mo feature which I particularly like for watching sports.
I know that most sports coverage will include slow motion replays of key moments, but it nice to have control over this yourself.
I think that digital TV recorders are great devices that put you back in control of your TV viewing and certainly a huge advance over their VHS predecessors.
