Planning a birthday party for someone special can be stressful especially if the party is a surprise. However, if you have a clear plan the stress can be greatly reduced, and you can focus on the festivities. Surprise parties can range in price and complexity depending on what you want to accomplish. - Instead of planning a more traditional party, consider planning a fun party where the all the guests can play. Many states have adult arcades, such as Dave and Buster's. Adult arcades are a place for adults to be kids. They usually contain typical arcade games as well a restaurant and bar. Some of these locations permit children during the day, but if you plan the party for the evening, you will be able to avoid a crowd of children. To surprise the guest of honor, plan a night at the arcade for the two of you and have your guests wait there, or don't tell him where you're both going and let the whole night be a surprise.
- When you think of a toga party you may think of a fraternity party. However, toga parties are a fun way to celebrate a surprise party as well. Have your guests wear their best sheets and dress as the ancient Greeks did. Provide the foods of the gods by serving cheeses, sliced meats, nuts and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. To surprise the guest of honor, send her to the store for grocery shopping or a movie rental. While she's gone, let the guests in and have them hiding when she arrives. It's best to have their cars parked down the street.
