How to Make 8-Sided Ninja Stars
- 1). Fold each corner of the square so that the pointed edge is at the middle of the square. When this is complete, you should have four folded corners and the paper should still be a perfect square.
- 2). Turn the square over and fold the corner back to the center in the same manner that was done in the previous step. Fold another corner directly adjacent (not across) to the last folded corner.
- 3). Fold the shape in half so that both sides are evenly aligned with each other. Place your finger at the remaining right angle and invert the it by tucking the vertex inside the shape. This should result in the appearance of triangular wings on a parallelogram.
- 4). Repeat the previous steps to create seven more parallelogram shapes
- 5). Slide one parallelogram into the wings of another. The wings of the piece you are inserting should be facing outwards. Tuck the tips of the outer piece that are overhanging inside the wings of the inserted piece.
- 6). Insert a third parallelogram into the wings of the second piece and tuck in the overhanging tips in the same way as the previous step.
- 7). Continue these steps until all eight parallelograms have been inserted. The result should be an 8-sided ninja star.
