There are many WoW farming methods thought and polished by the elite players, but most of them involve the Auction House.
Doesn't it suck when you need to wait a couple of hours or even more than two days until your auctions are sold? Well, I have good news.
There are indeed methods that don't require you to sell anything at AH.
Therefore, I will illustrate two of them that a farming gold guide has taught me.
Daily Quests.
This is an excellent way to make money in WoW that I have learned from a farming gold guide.
What exactly makes me say that? Well, firstly you don't have to involve the Auction House at all.
You just need to complete certain daily quests and by turning them in, you will receive a nice reward in gold and maybe some other items that you might find useful.
However, to be effective at farming gold by this method, you need to solve as many quests as possible, within the shortest time possible.
An epic flying mount will surely help you a lot in this case.
Farming expensive trash loot.
Believe it or not, there are places in the game where mobs drop grey items that have quite a high vendor value.

Plus, if at a spot like this you can find other resources that you can sell at the Auction House, you hit two birds with one stone, and you'll make some nice money.
As I said, by applying the farming methods illustrated above, you don't need to involve the Auction House at all.
But unfortunately, these methods will help you only if you need just a few hundred gold to buy something and you don't have time to wait until your auctions are sold.
