Animal & Heidenreich Profile
Making Friends:
Heidenreich, a former NFL offensive lineman, was an unbalanced individual looking for a friend. When he was attacked by tag team champions MNM, a surprise awaited the wrestling fans. Road Warrior Animal came out of retirement to be his friend and transformed him into a painted Warrior like himself.
Heidenreich:
Heidenreich started his WWE career in late 2003 for a brief period. He returned in July 2004 and immediately started a feud with the Undertaker.
He developed a psychotic persona and read the scary poems he wrote. He then developed a need for friends and would read poetry begging for friendship.
Animal:
Animal was a member of the Road Warriors with Hawk. They were arguably the greatest tag team ever and made the concept of a face painted wrestler popular. In the summer of 2005, the WWE released a Road Warriors DVD. As part of the promotion of it, Animal returned to the ring to help Heidenreich. In addition, Animal's brother, John Lauriantis, is the head of talent relations for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Heidenreich Released:
In early 2006, Heidenreich was released from his WWE contract. The team is now officially broken up. Animal was released several months later but was still making news because of the success his son, James Laurinaitis, was having with the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
