How to Deep Fry Rice

    • 1). Heat the frying pan over medium heat.

    • 2). Press the cooked rice on the surface of the frying pan with a rice paddle or spatula. For easy handling, make two or three rice pancakes in the pan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

    • 3). Flip the rice pancakes. Keep cooking and turning until the sides start to turn brown. Remove from heat.

    • 4). Heat the oil in the deep-fryer to 325 degrees.

    • 5). Deep-fry the rice cakes until they're golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes.

    • 6). Remove the rice cakes from the fryer with metal tongs. Place the cakes on paper towels to drain.
